We are just 900 metres from York Minster and even closer to the City Walls at Bootham Bar, Art Gallery, Museum Gardens & Theatre Royal.
We are also just a couple of minutes’ walk from York Hospital. So if you are working there, it’s just a 5 minute walk away over the footbridge that crosses the railway line.
Surrounding us are some fabulous restaurants. The highly rated Roots restaurant on Marygate is a fantastic fine dining experience. It’s just a 7 minute walk away. Around the corner in St Peter’s Grove is The Park restaurant, one of York’s top rated fine dining experiences. We also have Cafe Number 8 in Gillygate together with numerous cafes and takeaways a short stroll away.
There’s also great news if you’re travelling by train as the new pedestrian footbridge over the river (Scarborough Bridge) is now open. The walkway is fully lit. You walk from the rear of the train station all the way to our apartments in just 15 minutes. And because there are no stairs to climb it’s just a gentle stroll (approximately 1 km).
